Plant of the Month Wild Ginger Asarum canadensis Wild Ginger (Asarum candensis) is a hardy woodlander that provides an attractive patch of heart-shaped, fuzzy leaves that look fresh all season.  It grows from slowly spreading, aromatic stems.  Intricate blooms open early in the spring below the leaves so you have to look carefully to see them.  Wild Ginger combines wonderfully with ferns and other woodland spring flowers.
